Since I've had trouble getting a host for my servlet that generates an image based on numeric data, I asked Real Time if they'd permit a trial account to let me see if the servlet would work before committing to changing hosts. They were very helpful, and I think they would have been flexible enough to permit the trial. However, the Sales person that worked with me was able to get the Tech guys to determine that at present (Apr 2001) getting Java to generate an image requires an X server or Xvfb for their Linux machine, both of which pose some security risk for them. They seem to be right on top of the security subject, so this stopped the show. Hosting servlets without this need should not be a problem. I felt like I was treated well and that they have their act together. The current price to host a servlet site not needing database access is $30/month, reasonable I think. A efinite 'recommend!'
